Maribel Tafur received the Golden A' Design Award 2024 for this musical project | Composition and production of original soundscapes for the world-renowned gastronomic experience Central, the No. 1 restaurant in the world (The World's 50 Best Restaurants 2023), owned by Peruvian chefs Virgilio Martínez and Pía León. Central offers a unique and innovative concept based on Peruvian altitudes and ecosystems.
The soundscapes were created by Maribel Tafur exclusively for Central's experience within the restaurant space, offering an immersive musical and sonic atmosphere that reflects the uniqueness of Peruvian ecosystems, altitudes and biodiversity in perfect integration with the design of the overall multisensory experience. The project included unique field recordings, experimental sessions with native ingredients and traditional instruments, ambient textures and electronic instrumentation.
